1849 GEM UNC SSCA commemorative gold plated Silver coins

  

Each coin is a restrike- meaning the original dies that were used to make the 1849 liberty coin were used for this limited series. These coins were then plated with real gold from the infamous 1857 SS Central America shipwreck that was not recovered until the late 1980s.
